The rules for using NewsStand, the English news app for Android.

By using NewsStand you accept these terms and the NewsStand privacy policy. If you do not, please do not use it.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use NewsStand. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian.

Who owns the news

NewsStand collects headlines from news publishers and shows them in one place. We do not write, own or change the news. Every story, headline and picture belongs to the publisher that made it, and is shown with the publisher's name. When you open a story, it loads from the publisher's own site.

Stories are shown for information only. We do not check them and we are not responsible for what they say, whether they are correct, or whether they are up to date. Questions about a story should go to its publisher.

Using the app

We give you a personal, free, non-transferable permission to use NewsStand on your own devices. You may not:

  • copy, sell or republish news from the app without the publisher's permission;
  • collect content from the app in bulk, by hand or with automated tools;
  • take the app apart, copy its code or make your own version of it;
  • use it in any way that breaks the law.

Advertising

NewsStand is free because it shows ads. Interfering with the advertising — blocking, spoofing or automating clicks on it — is not permitted.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve NewsStand without paying you or naming you. You are responsible for what you send.

Availability

NewsStand is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that any publisher or story will stay in it, or that it will be free of errors. We may change or stop features at any time.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using NewsStand or from relying on its news. If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the cost.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts of Greater Noida.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use NewsStand after a change means you accept the new version.
