WallStand privacy policy

What WallStand collects, what it does not, and what the advertising in it does. This policy covers the WallStand website at wallstand.rajputx.com and the WallStand app for Android and iOS.

The short version

You can browse, download and use every wallpaper and ringtone without an account and without telling us who you are. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number. We do not sell your data.

What we do collect is there to count what is popular, fix crashes, show ads and handle WallStand Pro purchases. The rest of this page says exactly what, and who else sees it.

What stays on your device

Your favourites, your download history, recent searches and your settings are saved on your own phone or in your own browser. They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data deletes them, and they do not follow you to another device.

Wallpapers you save go to your phone's photo gallery. On Android, ringtones you use are saved to the phone's Ringtones, Notifications or Alarms folder. On iOS they are saved in the app's own folder, which you can see in the Files app.

What we count

When a wallpaper or ringtone is downloaded, set, liked or unliked, we record which one it was, the quality, and when. These records are about the wallpaper or ringtone, not about you: they carry no name, no account and no device identifier. They let us show popular things first.

Like almost every online service, our servers keep short-lived technical logs of requests, including IP addresses. We use them to keep the service running and to stop abuse, such as automated copying of the catalogue. They are not used to build a profile of you.

In the app

Analytics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to learn which screens are opened and which features are used. It records things like screens viewed, taps on features, your device model, operating system, app version, and your rough location (country or region). It uses an identifier for the app installation, not your name or email. We only see totals.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report: what went wrong in the code, your device model, operating system and app version, and an identifier for the installation. We use these only to fix bugs.

Notifications

To send notifications about new wallpapers and ringtones, the app gets a notification token from Firebase Cloud Messaging. The token identifies the app on your phone, not you. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.

Advertising

The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may use your device's advertising ID, your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads.

• In the European Economic Area, the UK and some other places, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice any time under Settings → Ad privacy settings in the app.
• On iOS, the app asks your permission before it can use your advertising identifier. If you say no, you still see ads, but they are not personalised.
• On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, under Google → Ads.

WallStand Pro purchases

WallStand Pro is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your card or payment details. Purchases are managed by RevenueCat, which receives a random identifier for your app installation, the products you bought, and your purchase receipts from the store, so it can check that your subscription is active and restore it on a new phone.

Reporting a wallpaper

If you use Report in the app, it opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. We receive whatever you send, including your email address, and use it only to handle the report.

Permissions the app asks for

• Internet and network state — to load wallpapers and ringtones, and for the "Download on Wi-Fi only" setting.
• Set wallpaper (Android) — to apply a wallpaper when you ask.
• Modify system settings (Android) — only when you choose to make a ringtone your default ringtone, notification or alarm sound.
• Notifications — to send you notifications, if you allow it.
• Add to Photos (iOS) — to save wallpapers to your photo library.
• Tracking (iOS) — to show personalised ads, if you allow it.

The app does not ask for your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.

On the website

Creator accounts

If you sign in on the website as a creator, you do so with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google and store them so your uploads can be credited to you and so we can reply about them. We never see your Google password.

Your name and picture are shown publicly on your creator page and under wallpapers and ringtones of yours that we publish. Your email address is not shown publicly.

Advertising

The website is free because it carries advertising. We use Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Advertising is served by Google, not by us. We do not receive your browsing history from Google and we do not pass anything about you to advertisers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages are visited and which wallpapers people like. It records the pages you open, what you click, search for, like and download, how far you scroll, and your rough location and device type. It never records your name, your email address, or anything you type into a form.

Your cookie choice

On your first visit we ask whether Google may use cookies for ads and analytics. Until you say yes, it does not: ads are shown without advertising cookies, and analytics sends only cookieless counts. Your answer is saved in your browser for a year, and you can change it any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Who else handles data

We use these companies to run WallStand. Each one handles data only for the purpose described above, under its own privacy policy:

• Google — Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, AdMob, AdSense and Google Analytics. Google's privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — WallStand Pro purchases. RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — hosting, storage of wallpapers and ringtones, and protection against abuse. Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Security

Everything WallStand sends and receives goes over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to our servers and data is limited to the people who run the service.

Children

WallStand is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Because the app and website work without an account, we hold very little that can be linked to you. You can:

• delete everything stored on your device by uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data;
• turn off personalised ads and notifications as described above;
• ask us for a copy of, a correction to, or the deletion of any data we hold about you — including a creator account — by writing to the address below. Creators should write from the address they signed in with.

Deleting a creator account does not automatically remove wallpapers already published; ask and we will take those down too.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use WallStand after a change means you accept the new version.
